Relaxed Coyotes

I was riding my bike on the Coast to Crest Trail one day in February last year, on the way to photograph some flowers that I had spotted while out on a morning run, and as luck would have it, two coyotes were nearby.

I had “Big Bertha” in my backpack and the two fellas crossed the trail just a little bit ahead of me, wandering a bit into the open meadow. One even lay down in the grass for a moment, scratching itself, yawning, not bothered at all by my presence, or two other bikers who came by, going in the opposite direction. I love these encounters with the tricksters. šŸ™‚
