Anacapa Island Silhouette / Suffering

“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. They prefer suffering that is familiar to the unknown.” (Thích Nhất Hạnh)

I follow a number of Twitter accounts that post “Zen stuff” via a (private) Twitter list. At some point, it struck me how some of them related to how and why I enjoy photography, and I began to post those in articles that I tagged “Seeking Zen“, over on my photography website.

Over time, my “collection” grew quite a bit and I naturally also saved some quotes that I wanted to hold on to, but which are not a close fit to the relation of zen and pursuing photography. I thought I might as well combine them with a photo that I like and share them here on my personal blog. This is the first one! Let’s see where this will go… 🙂

(not sure if I’ll keep this post title format:-P)

Thoughts? Let me hear them.
