Waiting for Rain

After the dry December 2013 and January 2014, this was the first (albeit minor) storm to reach Southern California. It didn’t bring much rain, and I didn’t expect anything useful, photographically, while taking a walk with Toni at Del Mar’s North Bluff Preserve.

There actually are some rocks/tidepools at this beach, but utilizing them in a photo would have meant committing myself to getting really wet, and I was wearing long pants and sneakers, so, uhmmm… no. 🙂 But, when this little limb offered itself as an initial foreground and point of interest to counter the beautiful clouds in the distance, I took the chance. Still like the image three months later, so here it is. 🙂

Thoughts? Let me hear them.
