I returned from a 5-day trip along the US west coast and a brief stay in Seattle on Saturday evening, and while sorting, selecting and processing the photos will surely take a while, here’s a video that I made along the way, near the lighthouse at Point Reyes National Seashore.
The wind there was incredible and it was quite an extraordinary experience to be exposed to the elements like that – I hope the video captures some of it. I steadied the camera on the tripod with all of my weight, but it was impossible to hold the camera still while filming (the video has been “shake corrected” by YouTube). Needless to say, the sound was only terrible wind blasting into the camera’s tiny microphone. I replaced it with this short calm piece of music and like the contrast it creates very much.
