Photos from another partly-sunny-with-haze and partly-cloudy hike, thanks to the marine layer. This time I tackled one of San Diego’s most popular peaks in north county, Iron Mountain. On the 100 Peaks list, this is peak number 88.
I had hoped that more of the marine layer (including its haze) would have burned off, especially to the east, to get clearer views of the back country – but I guess in May and after an exceptionally wet winter, that hope was probably not really based in reality. 🙂
On a weekday this is actually still an enjoyable hike – not too many people on the trail. On the weekends, it can get so busy there that it may be hard to find parking at the trailhead.
